Current News/EventsHatchford Brook Eco-Schools ProgrammeHatchford Brook has recently joined the Eco-Schools programme. Eco-Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life. Children are the driving force behind Eco-Schools (see our team below !!) – they will lead the eco-committee and help carry out an audit to assess the environmental performance of our school. Through consultation with the rest of the school and the wider community, they and you decide which environmental themes you want to address and how you are going to do it. Measuring and monitoring is an integral part of the Eco-Schools programme, providing our school with all the evidence we need to really shout about our environmental success. We are working towards gaining one of three awards – Bronze, Silver and the prestigious Green Flag award, which symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity. As a starting point we are aiming for the Bronze award, but we won’t stop there ! So please SUPPORT YOUR SCHOOL.
